Hi, what you are about to read is my presentation on plastic pollution. I made this presentation because in my class we are doing a project called what’s the matter. Basically, we’re finding what is the matter in the world as in what the problems in our world are and finding solutions. Also, we are looking at what matter is involved in the problem. Most likely at this very moment, the problem of plastic pollution is causing damage to the environment, and it needs to stop!
A lot of you already know the threat of plastic pollution but here is a little sum for the people who don’t. The way it works starts with the plastic itself. When the plastic end’s up in the ocean it pollutes that water and many marine animals are suffering because they think that the plastic in the ocean is their food. Plastic pollution has harmed at least 267 species worldwide, including 86% of all sea turtle species, 44% of all seabird species, and 43% of all marine mammal species, implying that many animals are dying as a result of this issue. I learned a lot about ways to stop plastic pollution the positive and negative implications as well as the chemical changes that are involved and the different forms of matter involved. Now that I have covered that here is my presentation.
Here is my presentation.
I’m happy that I was able to do this presentation. I used canva for this because canva is a trusted platform. It is easy for me to put all the information I need on it, and it is very clear and easy to read as well as post it. I hope you enjoyed this presentation and know a little bit more about plastic pollution and the effect it is taking on this world. I also hope for the future you realize that this is having a massive effect on the earth and it needs to stop.

Hi, this is all about Treacher Collins Syndrome. I am doing this because this is the disorder that Auggie has from the book wonder we are reading in class and we did different little things when we were done the book from the wonder choice bored my teacher made. Now let’s get into my project on Treacher Collins Syndrome /TCS.
Treacher Collins syndrome (TCS) is a rare condition. Babies who have it are born with deformed ears, eyelids, cheekbones, and jawbones. There is no cure, but surgery can make a big difference. The condition is caused by an abnormal gene that affects how the face forms. Treacher Collins syndrome (TCS) affects the way the bones of the face develop before a baby is born. This can impact many things, though children with TCS typically have normal intelligence and life expectancy.
Treacher Collins syndrome is caused by mutation of the genes TCOF1, POLR1B, POLR1C, or POLR1D. Genetic diseases are determined by the combination of genes for a certain trait that is on the chromosomes received from the father and the mother. In approximately 60% of TCS patients, the mutation is a new mutation that occurs spontaneously without a previous family history of the disorder.
TCS affects males and females in equal numbers. The prevalence is estimated to be between 1 in 10,000-50,000 individuals in the general population. It also affects about one out of every 50,000 babies born. Treacher Collins syndrome is always genetic but usually isn’t inherited seeing as about 60% of the children who get it, neither parent carries the gene. For them, the chances of passing it along to another child are very small.
Infants with Treacher Collins syndrome show underdeveloped or absent cheekbones, causing this area of the face to appear flat or sunken. The bone of the lower jaw is incompletely developed, causing the chin and the lower jaw to appear abnormally small.

hi, Today I will share with you some pros and cons of being a big sister. I will also share how I feel about being a big sister. I hope you enjoy it.
But I have to say, sisters are pretty cute.
There are a lot of good things about having a baby sister.
What are some fun things you enjoy doing with your baby sister?
For example, watch them grow up, which means I can watch them take their first step, listen to their first words, watch them crawl,
and Babble. They’ll be your friend for life.
There are many good things about being a big sister, but there are also many challenges. babies are a lot of responsibility. For example, we have to change diapers,
bounce her when she’s fussy and keep her safe.
Another challenge is having a good night’s sleep
because sometimes the baby wakes me up at night.
Now that I have shared some pros and cons about having a baby sister I would like to tell you how I feel about it. being a big sister is hard but I couldn’t imagine it any other way. I also feel proud to be a role model for all my sisters. What I’m trying to say is I love being a big sister.
In conclusion, being a big sister is awesome.
Even though there are some challenges, overall
I am happy and proud to be a big sister. Please just tell my sister to stop pulling my hair and eating my homework.
Do you want a baby sister someday?
We have to take action, reuse and recycle! Small countries, cities, and towns are paying the price for all the plastic that is making its way into our ocean. Our design is reusing a regular coke bottle and turning it into something fun and different that can be used for two different things. One thing is the cap, it can be screwed off and on from each side. On one side there is the nail polish brush and on the other side, there is a handle that you hold while you paint your nails and inside the bottle, you store the polish. You could give it to a friend or family member, you could even just have it for you and it is fun and easy to make. When you get our bottle cap design that is 1 out of 8 million pieces of plastic not being thrown in our ocean. Help us save the earth!
If 8 million pieces of plastic come into our ocean every day it means that around one billion three hundred twelve million pieces of plastic come into our ocean every year, and that is a lot of plastic. In the ocean, plastic injures and kills fish, seabirds, and marine mammals, and sadly it is estimated that in the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish in the sea. Marine plastic pollution has impacted at least 267 species worldwide, including 86% of all sea turtle species, 44% of all seabird species, and 43% of all marine mammal species which is horrible for the environment. The 10 countries getting the worst of plastic pollution are below:
China (59,079,741 tons)
United States (37,825,550 tons)
Germany (14,476,561 tons)
Brazil (11,852,055 tons)
Japan (7,993,489 tons)
Pakistan (6,412,210 tons)
Nigeria (5,961,750 tons)
Russia (5,839,685 tons)
Turkey (5,596,657 tons)
Egypt (5,464,471 tons)

The reason we did this is that in Vietnam and many other places they do not recycle and that is having a huge effect on the environment. The most visible impacts of plastic are the ingestion, suffocation, and entanglement of hundreds of marine species. Marine wildlife such as seabirds, whales, fish, and turtles confuse plastic waste for their prey and after that, they die of starvation as their stomachs become filled with plastic which in the future may extinct turtles.
Stricter government regulations on industry and manufacturing are one large-scale solution. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has enacted several laws to help protect beaches, reduce pollution from ships, reduce marine debris, and prohibit ocean dumping. First, you need to collect your materials
Materials
Now that you’ve gathered all your materials, take your sheet of plastic and your scissors to cut the sheet of plastic into a circle. Now take your paintbrush and/or sharp knife and cut it so that the brush or the paintbrush is just as long as a paintbrush so that it will be easier to paint your nails. After that, get your empty plastic bottle and cut it in half and pour your glitter and/or sequins. Now hot glue the top part of your bottle back on and pour your nail polish inside. Lastly take your cut paintbrush, two bottle caps, and your double-sided tape to tape your cut paintbrush onto the bottom of the bottle cap.
In conclusion, I hope that you learned more about what is happening, how to stop ocean pollution, and at least consider making or buying our product to help us take action and save our earth step by step, and try to prevent it from happening in real life. Be the one to help even if it is only one plastic bottle because it’s still helpful. You can still make a difference to many people. In just like 20 min you can help or just buy our product if you don’t have the time either way helps. Can you help us save our home?
